Information for May Degree Candidates
Dear May Degree Candidate,
Commencement 2020 is rapidly approaching! Please keep the following information in mind as you move forward toward completion of your degree.
Graduation Status
Login to SIS at go.tufts.edu/sis to review your Graduation Status. A status of “Applied for Graduation” means your degree sheet has not been received. A status of “In Review” means your degree sheet has been received and your degree requirements are being reviewed. You and/or your department will be contacted with any questions or concerns. Your status will remain "In Review" until all degree requirements (ex: final grades for Spring; thesis/dissertation upload) have been submitted and reviewed.
Below is a comprehensive list of requirements and deadlines for May degree conferral. Please review this list to ensure you are on track to graduate. As deadlines approach, it is not always possible to respond to individual requests for confirmation of completion and receipt of documents.
Diploma Name and Mailing Address
Please be sure to add or review your “Diploma Name” and “Diploma Address” in your SIS record. Click on the Graduation Status icon on the home page, and update the appropriate link for name/address. In the absence of a diploma name, your primary name will be printed on your diploma. Diploma names must be added by February 28. Names submitted after February 28 are not guaranteed to be printed in time for Commencement. A fee will be assessed to reprint diplomas after Commencement. In the absence of a diploma mailing address, your diploma (if not picked-up at Commencement) will be mailed to your home address. Diploma addresses must be entered before Commencement, but you are encouraged to add it before February 28 while updating your name.
Graduate Exit Survey
In early April, you will receive an email from assessment@tufts.edu that will ask you to complete the Graduate Exit Survey. The email will contain a secure link. The Graduate Exit Survey is required, and individual responses are kept confidential. Please complete the survey as soon as possible. Your responses to this survey make a difference. Results from previous years have led to many important changes that have improved the graduate student experience here at Tufts.
