Commencement 2021 | Sunday, May 23
Tufts University President Tony Monaco issued a letter announcing that this year’s main Commencement ceremonies will take place virtually. You can read more here.
Our hope for Commencement this year is to celebrate your accomplishments and do so in a safe environment to keep the larger Friedman community healthy. We are currently hard at work with making plans for a virtual commencement celebration, and we are pleased to announce that Dr. Yvonne T. Maddox, Ph.D. has agreed to be our commencement speaker! Dr. Maddox is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the TA Thornton Foundation, a family foundation dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of underserved communities. We are excited that she’s joining us all for this momentous occasion!
It is incredibly important that we have ideas and input from students, faculty, and staff. You will hear more in the weeks to come. Together, we will make the celebration meaningful and memorable for the Friedman School community.
We understand that this is not what the class of 2021 imagined, but together we can make this a very special event even under these circumstances!
