Following the University-wide Commencement Ceremony (Phase I) graduates of the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering are invited to enjoy a boxed lunch presented by Tufts Dining. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. under the Tufts Dining tents on Tisch Library Lawn.
Commencement Boxed Lunch Tickets
Each graduate is eligible to receive three complimentary boxed lunch tickets. One ticket is to be used by the graduate; the other two are for the graduate’s guests.
Undergraduate Students: Tickets available April 2 – May 12
Graduate Student: Tickets available April 16 – May 12
Event Details:
- Box Lunch featuring choice of either Chicken with Grains and Local Vegetables or Spring Rice Bowl with Tofu
- Kosher and Halal options are available. Kosher meals are prepared at the Tufts Hillel kitchens under the supervision of Rabbi Naftali Brawer.
- Graduating AS&E students are eligible for 3 complimentary tickets. One ticket is to be used by the graduate; the other two are for the graduate’s guests. All tickets, including complimentary tickets, must be reserved online. Tufts ID is required to place ticket order.
- Additional tickets may be purchased online only for $16 each
- No tickets will be issued at the event
- Be ready on the big day! Download your tickets via the “My Orders” tab of your Tufts Tickets account. Electronic tickets must be shown to pick up meal.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable
Other Options for Food on Campus
Graduates and their guests who are not in possession of Commencement Boxed Lunch tickets but who would like to enjoy lunch on campus may visit the Mayer Campus Center at 44 Professors Row. Food service will be available at the Commons Marketplace and Hotung Cafe on Commencement Day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be available on campus Commencement Day in the following locations:
- Dewick-MacPhie Dining Center 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
- Campus Center
- Commons Marketplace 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (and serving lunch until 3:00 p.m.)
- Hotung Cafe 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (and serving lunch until 3:00 p.m.)
Tufts Dining will also operate concession stands around campus on Commencement Day providing a variety of pastries, snacks, coffee and cold beverages. Look for our stands beginning at 7:00 a.m. in the areas near West Hall (off of Packard Avenue) and Eaton Hall.
