Giving shout-outs to student groups, the actor and activist told grads of the Class of 2019 to “write your own script.”
Actor, producer, and activist Alfre Woodard delivered the 2019 Commencement address and received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree.

A tradition that began in 1864, the Baccalaureate Service is the last time the undergraduate class comes together, alone, as a class. This multifaith celebration honors the heritage of spirituality and values at Tufts through a diversity of religions, philosophies and cultures in the forms of music, readings and blessings.
Seniors on the Tufts University Women's Lacrosse and Baseball teams graduated in special ceremonies before competing in their respective NCAA tournaments.
The Africana Center Stole Ceremony took place in Granoff Music Center on May 17. The Africana Center provides access to academic and social resources and a wide range of activities for students of African descent.
