Following the University-wide Commencement Ceremony (Phase I) graduates of the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering are invited to enjoy a Light Lunch on the Tisch Library lawn presented by Tufts Dining. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. under the Tufts Dining tent. 

Lunch on the Lawn Tickets

Each graduate is eligible to receive three complimentary tickets for the Light Lunch on the Lawn. One ticket is to be used by the graduate; the other two are for the graduate’s guests.

Undergraduate Students: Tickets available April 5th – May 15th

Graduate Student: Tickets available April 19th – May 15th

Event Details:

  • Box Lunch featuring Chicken with Grains and Local Vegetables
  • Vegan, Kosher, Halal, and Gluten-free also available
  • Additional tickets may be purchased online only for $14 each
  • All tickets, including complimentary tickets, must be reserved online
  • No tickets will be issued at the event
  • Electronic tickets must be shown to pick up meals
  • Tufts ID is required
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable

Other Options for Food on Campus

Graduates and their guests who are not in possession of Lunch on the Lawn tickets but who would like to enjoy lunch on campus may visit the Mayer Campus Center at 44 Professors Row. Food service will be available at the Commons Marketplace and Hotung Cafe on Commencement Day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be available on campus Commencement Day in the following locations:

  • Carmichael Dining Center 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • Dewick-MacPhie Dining Center 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • Campus Center
    • Commons Marketplace 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (and serving lunch until 3:00 p.m.)
    • Hotung Cafe 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (and serving lunch until 3:00 p.m.)

Tufts Dining will also operate concession stands around campus on Commencement Day providing a variety of pastries, snacks, coffee and cold beverages. Look for our stands beginning at 7:00 a.m. in the areas near West Hall (off of Packard Avenue) and Eaton Hall.
