Enjoy breathtaking views of the Boston skyline, passed hors d'oeuvres, multiple dessert displays, live entertainment, a cash bar, and complimentary round trip school bus transportation.
Event Details:
- Shuttle Buses: Shuttle buses will run from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., departing from the Campus Center Lower Patio (Talbot Ave). Please plan to arrive approximately 15 minutes early to board the buses. There are no beverages or food allowed on the bus or in the venue, including water bottles. Shuttle buses will return to campus approximately every 30 minutes, or as buses fill. Based on traffic conditions, there may be a long wait between shuttles. We encourage you to arrive early.
- Taking Your Own Transportation: Attendees are welcome to take their own transportation to or from the 60 State Street tower. However, doors close promptly at 9:00 p.m. There is limited garage parking at the 60 State Street Tower.
- Government Issued Photo ID Required: In addition to your ticket, all attendees are required to present a government issued photo ID (US Passport, US Driver's License, US Non-Driver ID, International Passport).
- Attire: Formal attire is expected for this upscale event. No shorts or jeans, please.
- Venue Policies: No bags are permitted, and all participants are subject to security screenings. There is no smoking inside the venue and no smoking area.

All Tufts schools participate in the All-University Commencement ceremony (Phase I). It includes the Academic Procession, the awarding of honorary degrees, the All-University Commencement address, and recognition of faculty emeriti. Phase I takes place on The Green, between Ballou Hall and Bendetson Hall. (Maps and Parking) Tickets not required.
Immediately following the Phase I All-University Ceremony, lunch will be provided for all students and guests of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering. The free tickets needed for lunch will be given to the graduates when they pick up thire marching cards on campus. More information will be sent mid-May.
The School of Arts, Sciences and Engineering Graduate and Undergraduate Ceremony will take place on The Green following lunch. PhD students will be hooded and should bring their hoods to the ceremony. All students will be individually recognized and professional photographers will take photos of each graduate.
Students will align at the location designated on their marching card at 1:45 pm.
All Class of 2020 alumni are invited for an evening in the new Joyce Cummings Center to celebrate your one-year reunion (one year late!). Food and drink will be provided followed by a reimagined Illumination Ceremony starting at 8:00 pm. The reunion event and illumination ceremony are hosted by the Office of Alumni Engagement.
