Caps and Gowns

Graduates are requested to adhere to the American Council on Education’s “Academic Costume Code” which stipulates that “nothing should be worn on the academic gown.” The addition of adornments (such as stoles, pins, etc.) to the academic attire is discouraged. The American Council on Education provides useful information and guidelines on how to choose and properly display academic regalia for commencement.

Caps, gowns and hoods will be available by placing an online order here. Online orders must be placed by April 1. You may also purchase caps and gowns at the bookstore starting May 23, 2022. 

Rentals are not available. The prices are approximately:

• Bachelor’s gown, cap, and black tassel package $60
• Master’s Degree package (gown, cap, black tassel and hood) $106
• Master’s gown, cap, black tassel (no hood) $63
• Master’s hood $44
• PhD package (gown, cap, tassel) $75
• Commemorative brown and blue tassel $10 (optional)
• Cap only: $13
